Top Ten Tuesday - My Summer TBR List
June 18, 2024
Happy Tuesday, dear readers! This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt from That Artsy Reader Girl is books on my summer TBR (to be read) list. Unfortunately, with the busyness of the summer reading program going on now at my library I haven’t had much time to read, but when it’s over in August I plan on picking up these beauties. If you have any recommendations, please let me know!
🏖️ The Yellow Wife by Sadeqa Johnson - I have a long 45-minute drive to work, so I’ve been able to listen to several books over the past few months. This audiobook is what I’m currently listening to, and it’s wonderful! The narrator, Robin Miles, is incredible. Highly recommended.
🏖️ The Summer Pact by Emily Giffin - I’ve had this ARC from NetGalley for a couple of months now, and I can’t wait to get started on it.
🏖️ Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid - What can I say? I just love Taylor Jenkins Reid. This book has been on my radar ever since I was introduced to Carrie in Malibu Rising.
🏖️ Shark Heart by Emily Habeck - I’ve been curious about this one since I first saw it on NetGalley. Reviews seem to be mixed. Have you read it?
🏖️ Weyward by Emilia Hart - I love historical fiction, and this one has great reviews on Goodreads, so we’ll see how it goes.
🏖️ The Housemaid’s Secret by Freida McFadden - I’ve never been a big mystery/suspense reader, but I want to give them a chance, so I thought about starting with this one, but if you have a recommendation please share it. No horror books!
Have a great Tuesday!

DeleteI’m curious about Weyward, too.

Thank you for visiting, Astilbe! Happy Tuesday!
DeleteI loved reading Yellow Wife a few years ago. It's set near where I grew up, so that made it easier for me to grasp the location details.

That is so cool! Thank you for visiting, Pam! Happy Tuesday!
DeleteEveryone raves about Freida McFadden, online and in my real life, but I didn't love the one book I've read by her. Maybe I need to try a different one? I don't know. I read a lot of mystery/thriller books, but I prefer ones that stand out, you know? These days, they all seem the same.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy all these when you find some time to read!
Happy TTT!
Thank you for visiting, Susan! Wish mystery books stood out to you the most?
DeleteGood question. I'm really enjoying historical mysteries right now. I also like ones with some humor like Deanna Raybourn's Veronica Speedwell series and Kelley Armstrong's Rip Through Time series.
DeleteThank you for the suggestions, Susan! I hope you're having a great week so far!
DeleteThe only novel I've read by Taylor is One True Loves, but I did, much to my surprise, quite enjoy it! Makes me wonder if I should give another of hers a chance... but none of them really sound interesting right now, so it's just a question of, which one should I try!? ;) Thanks so much for visiting my website today!
ReplyDeleteIf I had to recommend any Taylor Jenkins Reid books it would be The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and Malibu Rising. Great books! Thanks for visiting, Rissi!
DeleteI want to read Weyward, though I didn't put it on my list this week.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting, Ellie! Happy Wednesday!
DeleteI LOVED Carrie Soto is Back! And I'm so happy to see that you're going the audio route. I thought the production value was PERFECTION. From the cast of narrators, to the bits with the sports show snippets... so well done. And Carrie was a fascinating character.
ReplyDeleteI just started the audiobook yesterday, and I'm really enjoying it. I love when they have more than one narrator. Happy Wednesday, Tanya!
