Top Ten Tuesday - Books I Can’t Believe I’ve Never Read
June 09, 2026
Good morning, dear readers! Long time no see! Life has been so busy lately, and with summer in full swing now, I’ve been in the thick of things getting ready for my summer reading program at work. I hope you’ve all been doing well. I know this isn’t this week’s prompt from Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl, but I planned on being here last week and it slipped right by me, so I’m going to make up for last week by listing the top ten books I can’t believe I’ve never read. As you can see, all of them are classics, which I'm horrible at starting and never finishing. Have a great Tuesday!

Fahrenheit 451 was excellent and I highly recommend it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, Lydia! Happy Wednesday!
DeleteThanks for sharing your #TTT
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, Shelley! Happy Wednesday!
DeleteI've only read 4 of these and that was because it was required reading in high school.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, Carla! Happy Wednesday!
DeleteI've read all of these except for Great Expectations (I'm not a huge Dickens' fan) and Anne of Green Gables (which I tried to read when I was young and found kind of boring; I do love the movie version of it though). I love all of Jane Austen's books, and I love To Kill a Mockingbird, too, mostly for Scout. :D
ReplyDeleteI’ve only read one book by Dickens and that was A Christmas Carol. Thanks for visiting, Lark!
DeleteI loved Anne of Green Gables. Thanks for visiting Long and Short Review’s post!
ReplyDeleteYou’re welcome! Happy Wednesday!
DeleteHonestly, swapping out the prompt to tackle a "classics I've never read" list is the perfect way to make a comeback. There is a very specific kind of guilt that comes with staring at a towering literary classic on your shelf, starting the first chapter, and immediately getting distracted by a shiny new release instead. We've all been there!
ReplyDeleteYes! I couldn't agree with you more! Thank you for visiting, Melody!
DeleteWell I have read Pride and Prejudice. But other than that I haven't read any of these either.
ReplyDeleteI've tried at least three times to read Pride and Prejudice, but I've watched the movie a gazillion times. LOL. Thanks for visiting, Hena!
DeleteHow to Kill a Mockingjay is a book you'll never forget. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI plan on trying it again soon. The furthest I’ve gotten is only a couple of chapters. 😳
