Review - Part of Your World
March 25, 2026
TITLE: Part of Your World (audiobook)
AUTHOR: Abby Jimenez
NARRATORS: Julia Whelan and Zachary Webber
RATING: ★★★★
Summary (from Goodreads): After a wild bet, gourmet grilled-cheese sandwich, and cuddle with a baby goat, Alexis Montgomery has had her world turned upside down. The cause: Daniel Grant, a ridiculously hot carpenter who’s ten years younger than her and as casual as they come—the complete opposite of sophisticated city-girl Alexis. And yet their chemistry is undeniable.
While her ultra-wealthy parents want her to carry on the family legacy of world-renowned surgeons, Alexis doesn’t need glory or fame. She’s fine with being a “mere” ER doctor. And every minute she spends with Daniel and the tight-knit town where he lives, she’s discovering just what’s really important. Yet letting their relationship become anything more than a short-term fling would mean turning her back on her family and giving up the opportunity to help thousands of people.
Bringing Daniel into her world is impossible, and yet she can’t just give up the joy she’s found with him either. With so many differences between them, how can Alexis possibly choose between her world and his?
REVIEW: Life has been so busy lately that I haven't had much time to read, but I'm happy I was able to fit this audiobook in on my drive to work every day. I started off reading a different book that was more serious and dramatic by a different author, but life kept life'ing, and I really needed something I knew would cheer me up, so I reached for another Abby Jimenez audiobook. In my eyes, she is right up there with Lucy Score, who is also on my favorite author list, mainly because they both do such an excellent job writing hilarious romantic comedies. The snarky dialogue and witty banter is top notch, and I caught myself laughing out loud SO many times as I listened to Part of Your World. The two main characters, Daniel and Alexis, are adorable and fit perfectly together, even though they come from two completely different backgrounds and upbringings. She's almost a decade older than him, but instead of it being something that causes a problem, it balances them out. I don't know how else to describe it. If you love rom-com's, then I would definitely give this one a try. The narrators, Julia Whelan and Zachary Webber did an amazing job, and Abby Jimenez outdid herself once again.
